Ingredients

  • One-pound salmon fillet, divided into smaller portions
  • One tablespoon of oil from avocados
  • One-third tsp of Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt, adjusted to taste
  • One big lemon, cut into rounds

Instructions

  • Set your grill to medium-high heat and use a wire brush to remove any leftover food particles from your previous grilling session.
  • Lay down a large sheet of foil (or several sheets, if you want to grill the salmon fillets more easily). Drizzle with avocado oil, then work the oil into the salmon's meat with your hands. Add sea salt and Herbs de Provence, or Italian seasoning, on top. To make a foil package, place lemon slices over the salmon fillets and cover with foil.
  • After placing the foil packet on the grill, cover it. Simmer the salmon for ten to fifteen minutes, or until it reaches the desired doneness. The thickness of the salmon will determine how long it takes to cook.
  • To remove the foil packet from the grill and place it on a plate or cutting board, use tongs or a metal spatula. After it has cooled down enough to handle, remove the foil.
  • Serve salmon with your selection of sides.

Notes

Herbs de Provence or any other combination of dried herbs can also be used. Other tasty possibilities include paprika, ground cumin, onion powder, and garlic powder!
